This article will guide you through the process of adding conditional pay rates for your employees. Conditional pay rates allow you to adjust an employee's pay based on specific clients or locations.
Steps to Add Pay Rates Based on Conditions
-
Login to Your Account
Start by logging into your account on the platform. -
Navigate to Employees
Select Employees from the left-hand menu. -
Choose the Employee
From the employee list, click on the guard for whom you want to set a conditional pay rate. -
Go to the "Exceptions" Tab
Once on the employee's profile, navigate to the Exceptions tab. -
Add a New Exception
Click on the Add New Exception button to create a new conditional pay rate. -
Set the Conditions
Define the conditions for the exception. You can set conditions based on:- Clients
- Locations
You can choose one or both criteria as needed.
-
Enter the Overwritten Pay Rate
Specify the pay rate to apply under these conditions. There are two options:- Fixed Rate: This will override the default rate with the exact amount entered.
- Dynamic Rate: This adjusts the pay rate by adding or subtracting a value from the default rate.
Tip: We recommend using the Dynamic Rate option. This ensures that any updates to your default rate automatically apply to all conditions set to dynamic, saving time in the long run.
Example Scenarios
- Fixed Rate: If a specific client requires a guard to be paid $25/hour, regardless of the default rate, you can set a fixed rate of $25/hour.
- Dynamic Rate: If a specific location requires a $2/hour increase to the default rate, you can set a dynamic rate adjustment of +$2.
By following these steps, you can efficiently manage pay rates for various conditions, ensuring fair and accurate compensation for your employees. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact support.
